Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors (BoD) oversees all organizational activities, holds meetings periodically, and discusses and votes upon matters concerning the organization. We hold quarterly board meetings in addition to an annual general meeting.
Our board positions are not permanent and have set term lengths for each member (between one and four years).
The board’s role is high-level governance with respect to strategy, operational oversight, accountability, and serve as officers of the organization’s by-laws. On the other hand, management of the organization is a day-to-day operation and is typically carried out by other volunteers not sitting on the board.
Who are they?
CHAIRMAN

VICE CHAIRMAN

To Be Filled
Mike Flores
Mike Flores is a reserved and extremely observant leader, who firmly believes in living his life by 'leading by example'. He naturally recognizes needs and strives to address them with optimal results by conducting the necessary assessments and being able to quickly and accurately manage emergency/critical situations whether operationally, physically, or psychologically. Mike has held may leadership positions in his post-NFL professional careers and worked very closely with high-level officials and celebrities in various capacities, which led to oversight of special taskforces, operations and teams. Mike attributes his leadership capabilities to his time in the NFL - although considered a team sport, however, every player is a leader on the field in some form or fashion - being able to effectively lead equates to wins and championships. With Mike's vast experience managing people, projects, venues, being a mentor, in addition to serving as a Chaplain to other non-profit organizations, he is well outfitted to serve as Chairman of ACE's Board of Directors. In Mike's spare time he enjoys good music, fine art, Superhero action movies, scenic walks and spending time with his beautiful wife and kids.

TREASURER

LaKia Flores
In addition to being the Co-Founder and President of ACE, LaKia also serves as Treasurer for the organization. She brings over two decades of diverse and multi-faceted experience in the areas of accounting, payroll management, procurement, and other complimentary business areas where she competently served in these varying capacities for Fortune 500 companies, elite educational institutions and the federal government. With the wealth of knowledge, education, skills and necessary experience, LaKia is well equipped to serve as the Treasurer of ACE; and like our other board members, she too is a perfect Hybrid to be able to serve/act in other board positions when/if duty calls. She is a very sociable, caring, compassionate individual constantly striving to make life better for all and especially the community we serve, which has a domino effect on our cities, states, and country.
